Sanofi is the single largest company at Industriepark Höchst. The healthcare leader employs more than 9,000 people in Germany, including around 7,250 employees and some 400 vocational trainees right here in Frankfurt. Höchst is the global healthcare company’s largest German site and plays a strategic role in the entire firm’s research and production operations and in supplying medications to patients all around the globe.
Frankfurt-Höchst is an important part of the European research network. It brings together in-house research and outside partners. One of the core areas of research and development in Germany is immunology and inflammation. In addition to a long history of diabetes research, Sanofi’s research expertise in Frankfurt encompasses oncology, cardiovascular diseases, neuroscience and rare diseases.
Frankfurt-Höchst is also the largest integrated production and manufacturing site within the worldwide Sanofi organization and is involved in the value chains of many pharmaceuticals, including insulins, monoclonal antibodies, multiple sclerosis medications and antihistamines.
